Being the fourth boy of a family of five boys and one girl, I was also the fourth in line to receive hand-me-downs from my three older brothers. During that time, out of my enthusiasm to wear the latest fashions and to have them fit me well, I embarked on tailoring. While in high school I attended the Gadsden Technical Trade School in Gadsden, Alabama.
